We had very productive meetings in Brighton from 8th to 10th of May.
A Workshop was held on May 8th to keep the Ethics and the Security Advisory Boards updated on the project progress. Their comments were very useful. They were able to give us their independent and experienced suggestions on how to improve our approach on Ethics and Security for our project.
Our First Public Dissemination Event was also held on the 8th.
GDPR experts, SMEs and large enterprises representatives, innovation and research institutions joined the DEFeND Team for an open discussion on “Data Privacy governance and GDPR Compliance”. The event was hosted by the Centre for Secure, Intelligent and Usable Systems (CSIUS) of the University of Brighton.
Our internal Project Management Board F2F meeting involved representatives from ten partners of the Consortium coming from all over Europe on the 9th.
On the 10th we held an intensive Technical Meeting on mapping about 300 requirements on tools and components of the future DEFeND platform. Requirements were collected during last months using a methodological approach and, mostly, hard work from our Team.
The European Cyber Community noticed our tremendous effort so DEFeND was proud to be appointed as “The Project of the Week” (6-10 May 2019) by the CyberWatching.EU that is the European observatory of research and innovation in the field of cybersecurity and privacy.
